With a performance-inspired design persona, J POT by Gosango, Hong Kong’s newest culinary destination, has opened in Causeway Bay Tower 535. Combining Chinese hotpot culinary tradition with the freshest housemade sauces and top-quality ingredients, including, for the first time in Hong Kong, coveted Hiyama Wagyu, J POT by Gosango is a dining concept that’s both refined and playful.
J POT by Gosango reinterprets the timeless hotpot tradition with the freshest imported ingredients, touches of both eastern and western gastronomy, including fresh-made dumplings and housemade fresh pastas that will appeal to all diners.
J POT by Gosango’s a la carte menu features seven soup based, which are made with no MSG and are designed to enhance the flavour profiles of different ingredients. These soup bases include Sea Urchin Miso Soup.
First the first time, a selection of fresh seafood carpaccios will also be offered, includes this stunning French blue lobster with wasabi and honey dressing.
A selection of mouth-watering snacks are the perfect complement to pre-dinner drinks and include deep-fried minced wagyu wrapped in tofu skin; succulent sakura shrimp cake and a selection of seafood carpaccios.
In a departure from many hotpot restaurants, J POT by Gosango is a tribute to the freshest ingredients, sourced from a curated selection of producers from around the globe. These include acclaimed Hiyama Kuroge Wagyu, available for the first time in Hong Kong. With 100 years of history, Hiyama is one of Japan’s oldest and finest meat suppliers.
Head Chef, Chef Kwok has over 15 years’ experience cooking refined Japanese, French and Italian cuisine. Before joining the group, Kwok worked as a sous chef at Michelin-starred Wagyu Takumi, under the tutelage of acclaimed Japanese Chef Mitsuru Konichi.
For a truly memorable dining experience, guests can opt for the Tasting Menu (HK$498 per person), a hotpot industry first. The tasting menu combines the western-style course service with an eastern sharing style that marries the best of both worlds.
