Le French GourMay celebrates a different French region every year. In 2018, for the 10th Anniversary of the festival, Le French GourMay will celebrate South of France, with Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.

Get a taste of the famous bouillabaisse or salade niçoise, indulge yourself with a chilled glass of rosé from Provence. French GourMay has 110 partner restaurants who has created special menus and specific wine selections.

Evoking memories of traditional Parisian cafés, Plat du Jour serves authentic French bistro fare using quality products and classic cooking techniques. With two locations in Hong Kong, Quarry Bay and Pacific Place, the restaurants with bustling ambiance transport diners to the boulevard of Paris.

Curtains line the walls half way up the windows and wood prevails throughout giving the restaurant a cozy and rustic air, while the daily specials are chalked up on blackboards.

For the French GourMay, Plat du Jour will feature 6 exquisite dishes specially designed for Le French GourMay, showcasing authentic French cuisine infused with Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur’s regional flavours.

Food Tipster team advise you to taste the “Daube Provençale”, a slow-cooked beef cassoulet, black olives, orange and “Salade d’été summer” salad of confit ratte potatoes, quail egg, roasted peppers, French beans, lemon aïoli.

For the french GourMay, Muraski offer a special menu HKD880 paired with Esprit Gassier Rose Wine for Le French GourMay 2018 at the price HKD628 per bottle. (Prices are subject to 10% service charge)

Menu offer: cordyceps flower white and black fungus and yuzu citrus dressing, Tile Fish Teppanyaki with tomato salsa, Roasted Sisteron Lamb with charcoal stuffed potato, zucchini and sweet miso paste.

Paying tribute to the Moulin Rouge and other iconic Parisian hot spots, La Scène de Junon is the perfect combination of fine dining restaurant and live house cabarets. Enjoy a luxurious five-course dinner, complemented by thrilling stage performances to satisfy all five senses at once.

For the French GourMay, la scene de Junon offer a Special menu with option of wine pairing, with spectacular French
performance every night throughout the month. The menu is definitively the favorite of Food Tipster, with the mouth watering dishes as Macaroni stuffed with black truffle and foie gras, veal tenderloin with morels crus…

Cococabana is located at the beautiful Shek O Beach on Hong Kong Island South. It is decorated in a traditional Mediterranean and Provençal style with banquettes and tables offering an intimate atmosphere.
The imaginative design using recycled woods and white washed walls underlines the stylish, harmonious overall aspect.

Cococabana will offer two very special menus. A “Bouillabaisse Menu” à Trois Services (3 courses) HKD690 per person and a “Menu de Provence” consisting of goat cheese plates and lamb main course with a wine pairing option. Cococabana always has a great selection of South of France wines.

The Tradition, The Bouillabaisse. Nothing much has changed, featuring much the same ingredient for an eternity, with the same spirit that each time we make our Bouillabaisse is the best. I learnt while at Le Petit Nice, Marseille, how we could refine, exquisite and bring this dish up to date (tradition, health, fish variety, freshness and spices) never to be forgotten.
