This year, Al Molo and BLT Steak are thrilled to be hosting Mardi Gras, Spectacular – a New Year’s Eve party unlike any other! A fabulous evening of sumptuous, indulgent buffets, free flow drinks, international DJ’s and vibrant Latin rhythms, ensuring a celebratory and memorable start to 2019 – inside or out under the giant waterfront marquee.

Al Molo

On the menu at leading Italian restaurant, Al Molo, is a vast array of delicious choices, including its popular selection of cured meats, such as Parma ham (24 months), Soppressata, and pancetta, plus olives, marinated artichokes and bocconcini. Pair these with a create-your-own salad, with over 15 ingredients and a selection of house-made dressings. The antipasti selection boasts a diverse range of favourites, including a delicious Endive and gorgonzola salad, and a rich Zucchini frittata. Partygoers will also be tempted by the Seafood corner that includes Crab legs, and Tuna tataki.

There is also a choice of six mains, such as the flavourful Sedanini with fennel pork sausage ragu and mascarpone, or the decadent Agnello – New Zealand lamb rack served with sunchokes, maitakes and kale. Rounding out this generous offering are sweet treats such as, Bomboloni, and Chocolate truffle cake.

BLT Steak

Also offering a Gala Buffet (with open bar) is noted American-style steakhouse, BLT Steak. Grab a glass of bubbles and sashay to the Seafood Bar highlighting poached prawns, snow crab, whelks, seafood ceviche, and everyone’s favourite for New Year’s Eve, jet fresh oysters. Continue on the indulgent journey with Lobster bisque, a selection of creative salads, and a range of charcuterie, artisan cheeses, pates and terrines.
Highlighting the restaurant’s meat cooking prowess is the Roast options – Bone-in USDA dry rubbed prime rib and Five-spice crispy pork belly. Or opt for perfectly Beef casserole with red wine reduction, or finger-licking Crab cake with braised piquillo pepper aioli and market greens. Pair these with a selection of tasty sides. Bringing the feast to a fitting end are the desserts, including a wonderful Cherry Clafoutis, and a delicate Apricot almond tart.
